Solution:

Volume of the cuboid = 4 × 3 × 2 = 24

m^3

Volume of largest single cube = 2 × 2 × 2 = 8

m^3

Wood used = 8

m^3

Wood wasted = 16

m^3

Ratio = 8 : 16
= 1 : 2
