Solution:

Volume of the sphere =

4/3 πr^2

4/3 × {22}/7 × 1.8 × 1.8 × 1.8

24.44 cm^2

Edge of the cube =

{2× \radius}/{√3}

Volume of the cube =

(\Edge)^3

({3.6}/{√3})^3

≈ 9

cm^3

Required volume = 24.44 - 9
= 15.46
