It is clear from the given conditions of the problem that the smallest number will be 3 less than the LCM of 36, 45 and 50.
∴ LCM of 36, 45 and 50 ∴ LCM = 3 × 2 × 3 × 5 × 2 × 5 = 900
∴ Required number = 900 – 3 = 897.
