In this question LCM of the given numbers 48, 60, 64 has to be found out.
48 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3;
60 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 5
64 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2
∴ LCM = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 5 = 960
∵ Largest 4-digit number = 9999
$\begin{array}{ccc}\therefore 960)& 9999& (10\\ & 9600& \\ & \mathit{–}\mathit{–}\mathit{–}\mathit{–}\mathit{–}\mathit{–}\mathit{–}\\ & 399\end{array}$
∴ Required number = 9999 – 399 = 9600
