Let the numbers be 8x and 15x
8x = 2 × 2 × 2 × x
15x = 3 × 5 × x
∴ LCM of 8x and 15x = 2 × 2 × 2 × x × 3 × 5 = 120x
Now, 1st number × 2nd number = HCF × LCM
⇒ 8x × 15x = 4 × 120x
⇒ 120x2 = 4 × 120x
⇒ x = 4
∴ Numbers are 8 × 4 = 32 and 15 × 4 = 60
