The H.C.F. and the L.C.M. of two numbers are 50 and 250 respectively. On dividing one of these numbers by 2, 50 is obtained as quotient. The numbrs are

Validate

Solution:

According to the condition of the problem, 50 is obtained on dividing one of the numbers by 2
∴ One of the numbers = 50 × 2 = 100
Now, 1st number × 2nd number = LCM × HCF
∴ 100 × 2nd number = 250 × 50
∴ 2nd number

= {250× 50}/100 = 125

Hence, numbers are 100 and 125.
