We know that in a regular polygon, the sum of the interior angle and the exterior angle is 180°.
I + E = 180°
but given condition is
I = 2E
So, E + 2 E = 180°
3E = 180°
E = 60°
Number of sides of polygon = 360° ÷ 60°
= 6 sides
