Solution:

Let the original fraction

= x/y

.
The numerator of a fraction is increased by 200%.
So,

x + x \of 200%

x+x×200/100=3x

The denominator of fraction is increased by 250%.
y + y of 250 %

y+y×250/100={7y}/2

Original fraction

={3x}/{{7y}/2}=3/14

⇒{3x×2}/{7y}=3/14

⇒84x=21y

⇒x/y=1/4
