Solution:

48.6[(4+1/{12+3/2})-(6+1/{3+3/4})]

=48.6[(4+1/{13.5})-(6+1/{3.75})]

=48.6[( {54+1}/{13.5})-( {22.5+1}/{3.75})]

=48.6[( {550}/{135})-( {22,500}/{375})]

=48({13,750-2,11500}/{3,375})

= 48.6 × 58.59 = 2,847.474
