Solution:

Let the number of people in Auditorium 1 = x
Then, the number of people in Auditorium 2

=x/3+24

Number of people in Auditorium 3

={2x}/3+48

Number of people in Auditorium 4

=2/5({2x}/3+48)+20={4x}/15+196/5

∴ Total number of people

=x+x/3+24+{2x}/3+48+{4x}/15+196/5

⇒560={15x+ 5x+ 360 +10 x+720+ 4x+ 588 }/15

⇒560={34x+1668}/15

⇒34x+1668=8400

⇒34x=6732

⇒x=198
