Sulabh allowed a true discount of Rs 30 on a bill of Rs 1,380 due after some time. What will be the true discount on the same bill for half the time?

Solution:

SI on Rs 1,380 for fixed period = Rs 30
SI on Rs 1,350 for half is time = Rs 15
So, TD on Rs 1,350 = Rs 15
TD on Rs 1,350 = Rs 15
TD on Rs 1,380 =

15/1350× {1,380}

= Rs 15.33
