Find TD if the banker’s discount on Rs 1,620 due on certain time hence is Rs 162.

Solution:

Sum

={BD×TD}/{BG}

⇒(TD)/{BG}=\Sum/{BD}

=1620/162=10/1

∴ TD is Rs 10. Then BG is Rs 1.
∴ BD is Rs 11
IF BD is Rs 11, then TD = Rs 10
If BD is Rs 162, then TD =

10/11×162

True discount = Rs 147.27
