The average of six numbers is 43 and the average of another five numbers is 37. What is the average of all the numbers taken together?

Solution:

Sum of six numbers = 43 × 6 = 258
Sum of five numbers = 37 × 5 = 185
∴ Average of all the numbers

={258+185}/11=40.27
