Solution:

Total score of Section A = 35 × 40 = 1,400
Total score of Section B = 42 × 45 = 1,890
Total score of Section C = 29 × 48 = 1,392
∴ Average marks of all the sections

={ 1,400+ 1,890+ 1,392}/{35+ 42+ 29 }

= 44.17
