The length of a rectangular plot is thrice its breadth. What is the perimeter of that plot, if the area of the plot is 17328

Solution:

Let length and breadth be 3x and x m respectively, then
3x × x = 17328
⇒

x^2

{17328}/3

∴ x =

√{5776}

= 76
Since, breadth = 76 m; length = 3 × 76 = 228 m
Hence, perimeter = 2 (228 + 76) = 2 × 304 = 608 m
