Solution:

(j-1/j)^2-4(j+1/j)+8

=(j+1/j)^2-4-4(j+1/j)+8

=(j-1/j)^2-4(j+1/j)+ 4(j+1/j-2)^2

∴ Square root

(j-1/j)^2-4(j+1/j)+8

±(j+1/j-2).
