Then, Ramesh will finish the job in

hours
We have,

x-x/3= 8=>x = 12

Therefore, Sunil finishes the job in 12 hours and Ramesh in 6 hours.
Work done by both of them in 1 hour=

1/6+1/12=1/4

They together finish the piece of work in 4 hours.
