Judicial review is the power of the courts to pronounce upon the constitutionality of the legislative and executive actions of the government. The courts can declare any ordinary law of the government unconstitutional if it is found to be in contravention of the Constitution of India.
Judicial review has become an integral parts of the Constitution and the power has been vested in the High Courts and Supreme Court to decide on the constitutional validity of the acts of government.
