The World Consumer Rights Day was observed on 15 th March, 2019 with the theme 'Trusted Smart Products'.The World Consumer Rights Day is celebrated every year on 15th March to raise global awareness about consumer's rights and needs. It seeks to establish that consumer rights are respected and protected, to remove market abuse and social injustices which undermine those rights. The World Consumer Rights Day was inspired by President John F. Kennedy who sent a special message to US Congress on 15 th March, 1962 , in which he formally addressed the issue of consumer rights.
