Kashvi facing towards rising sun turned to her left and walks for 60 m. She then turned to west and walked for 15 m. Then she turned towards left at an angle of 45° and reached 95 m from her original position. How much total distance did she travel?

Solution:

Let kashvi’s final position is at point D. and suppose CD = x m.
then, In ΔCED

x^{2}=(CE)^{2}+(DE)^{2}=(60)^{2}+(95-15)^{2}

=3600+6400

∴x=√{10000}=100{m}

Hence, total Distance travelled
= DC + CB +AB

=100+15+60=175m
