Given polynomial

x^{4}-3 x^{3}+2 p x^{2}-6=0

is exactly divisible by

x-1

It means

(x-1)

is one of the factor of given polynomial.
So,

x=1

will satisfy given polynomial.
i.e.

1-3+2 P-6=0

P=4
