In Δ APQ and ΔCBQ
∠AQp = ∠CQB
∠QAP = ∠BCQ
∴ ΔAPQ ∽ ΔCBQ

{AP}/{BC}={AQ}/{CQ}

{AP}/{2AP}={AQ}/{CQ}

[∵AP=1/2AD=1/2BC]

{AQ}/{QC}=1/2⇒1:2
