∴ Slope of required line = $\frac{-1}{\mathit{m}}$ = - 2
∴ Equation of line passing through (lt 1) and having slope -2 is given by
y - 1 = - 2 (x - 1) [equation of line is y - ${\mathit{y}}_1$ = m (x - ${\mathit{x}}_1$)]
