There are n equally spaced points 1, 2, ...., n marked on the circumference of a circle. If the point 15 is directly opposite of the point 49, then the total number of points is;

Solution:

There are given n equally spaced points 1,2........ n
Given 15 is directly opposite to the point 49.
∴ other point will be

49-15=34

But two points must be excludeSo, there are 32 points which opposite
Then, total number of points are

=32×2+2

=64+2=66
