Solution:

Given that,P(Speak truth)

=P(A)=4/5

and

P(B)=3/4

∴P(\ov{A})=1/5

and

P(\ov{B})=1/4

[∵P(A)+P(\ov{A})=1]

Then, the probability when they contradict each other

=P(A)•P(\ov{B})+P(B)•P(\ov{A})

=4/5×1/4+3/4×1/5

=4/20+3/20=7/20
