Among five children A, B, C, D and E, B is taller than E but shorter than D. A is shorter than C but taller than D. If all the children stand in a line according to their heights, then who would be the fourth if counted from the tallest one ?

Solution:

Given that
B is taller than E but shorter than D.
D > B > E
A is shorter than C but taller than D.
D < A < C
Then the order is
C > A > D > B > E
