Solution:

Since, x, y and z are throe consecutive positive numbers.

∴x=y-1

and

z=y+1

Now

\log(1+xz)=\log[1+(y-1)+(y+1)]

\log=(1+y^{2}-1)

=\logy^{2}=2\logy
