11 friends went to a hotel and decided to pay the bill amount equally. But 10 of them could pay

extra than his share. Find the amount paid by him.

Solution:

Let 11 friends had to pay

₹ x

each.
So, according to the question,

11 × x=10 × 60+(x+50)

Bill paid by 11th person

=(x+50)

⇒ \;\; 11 x=600+x+50

⇒ \;\; 10 x=650

⇒ \;\; x=65

So, amount paid by 11 th person

=x+50

=65+50=₹ 115
