Here,

x=30, y=10, a=4

and

n=2

∴

Required ratio

=(1-\;{a}/{x+y})^{n}

=(1-\;{4}/{30+10})^{2}=(1-\;{4}/{40})^{2}

=(1-\;{1}/{10})^{2}=(\;{9}/{10})^{2}=\;{81}/{100}=81: 100
