Solution:

Let the width of path be

x'

Area of field

=32 × 38=1216 {m}^{2}

Area of path

=(32-2 x)(38-2 x)

According to the question.

1216-[(32-2 x)(38-2 x)]=600

∴ \;\; x=30,5

But

x=30

is not possible

∴

Width of path

=5 {m}
