How should the profit be divided amongst them?

Solution:

=4000 × 12: 8000 × 9: 20000 × 2

=6: 9: 5

Let, A's share be

According to the question,

6 x+9 x+5 x=16800

∴ \;\; x=\;{16800}/{20}=840

Hence, A's share

=840 × 6=₹\; 5040

B

's share

=840 × 9=₹\; 7560

C

's share

=840 × 5=₹\;4200
