Solution:

Let A has ₹ x and B has ₹ y

According to the question,

x+400=5/4×(y-400)

⇒4x-5y=-3600

...(i)
and

y+200=7/2(x-200)

⇒7x-2y=1800

...(ii)
From (i) and (ii)

4x–5y=–3600

]×2

7x–2y=1800

]×5

8x–10y=–7200

35x–10y=9000

⇒x=600

7×600–2y=1800

⇒2y=4200–1800

=2400

⇒y=1200
