A hall is 5 m long 4 m wide and 3 m high. What is the cost of white washing its walls and roof at a rate

and laying of marble floor at a rate

₹175{/}m^2

Solution:

Area of four walls

=2(l+b)h

=2(5+4)×3

=54m^2

Area of roof

=l×b

=5×4

=20m^2

Cost of Washing its walls and roof and laying of Marble floor

=74×25+20×175

=₹(1850+3500)

=₹5350.
