Solution:

Let four consecutive even numbers are

x,x+2,x+4

and

x+6

x+x+2+x+4+x+6=1284

⇒4x+12=1284

⇒4x=1284–12

⇒4x=1272

x={1272}/4=318

∴ Numbers are 318, 320, 322, 324
Greatest of them is 324.
