√86.49+√{5+(?)^2}=12.3

Solution:

√{86.49}+√{5+(x)^{2}}=12.3

⇒9.3+√{5+(x)^{2}}=12.3

⇒√{5+x^{2}}=3

Squaring both sides

5+x^2=9

⇒x^2=4

⇒x=2
