Solution:

Suppose that the initial price of sugar was Rs. x/kg.
Therefore, expenditure of family = Rs. 10x
Expenditure may increased by 10%
Therefore, new expenditure of family = Rs. 11x
New price of sugar = Rs. 1.32x/kg
∴ Consumption of family

={11x}/{1.32x}=8{1/3}kg
