Solution:

(3) From statement I,
Circumference of circle = 88 cm
=> 2πr = 88 cm
Thus we can find out r (radius) and hence area of the circle by using the formula

Diameter of circle = 28 cm
∴ Radius =14 cm
∴ Area of circle =
