The average weight of A, B and C is 35 kg A’s weight is 1 2 kg less than B’s weight but C’s weight is 21 kg more than A’s weight. What is C’s weight ?

Solution:

(2) Sum of weight of A, B and
C = 3 x 35 = 105 kg
Let C's wight be x kg
∴A's weight = x - 21
∴ B's weight = (x - 21) + 12
= x - 9 Hence,

x + x- 21 + x- 9 = 105

3x- 30= 105

3x = 135

x = 45
