Solution:

(3) Case I
Trader sells 150 metres of cloth for Rs. 6600.
∴ SP per metre = Rs.

[6600/150]

= Rs. 44
Case II
Trader sells 300 metres of cloth for Rs. 1 2750
∴SP / metre = Rs.

[12750/300]

= Rs. 42.5
∴ Required discount
= Rs. (44 - 42.5) = Rs. 1.5
