Solution:

Let quantities of milk and water are 5x and x /.According to the question.

{5x}/{x + 5}=5/2

⇒

10x=5x + 25

⇒

5x = 25

∴

x = 5

Hence, the quantity of milk in the original mixture = 5 x 5 = 25 /
