Solution:

Here,

P=₹ 4096, R=12 \;{1}/{2} \%=\;{25}/{2} \%

T=18

months

=\;{18}/{12}=\;{3}/{2} {yr}

Now, money received to Shyam

=4096(1+\;{25}/{2 × 100} × \;{1}/{2})^{\;{3}/{2} × 2}

=4096(1+\;{1}/{16})^{3}=4096(\;{17}/{16})^{3}

=4096 × \;{17}/{16} × \;{17}/{16} × \;{17}/{16}

=17 × 17 × 17=₹ 4913
