Let father's age be

5 x

yr.
Son's age

=2 x {yr}

According to the question,

\;\; 5 x × 2 x \;\; =1000

⇒ \;\; x^{2}=100 ⇒ x=10

∴ \;\text " Father's age after "\; 10 {yr}

\;\; =5 x+10=5 × 10+10=60 {yr}
