Let total number of workers in workshop

=x

Then, total salary of all workers

=8000 × x

According to the question,

8000 x=7 × 12000+(x-7) × 6000

⇒ 8000 x=84000+6000 x-42000

⇒ 8000 x-6000 x=84000-42000

⇒ 2000 x =42000

∴ x=21
