In the Indian Constitution, Article 39 mentions about the establishment of welfare state for the people. It is in Part IV (Directive Principles of State Policy) of our Constitution. Article 39 directs the state to secure adequate means of livelihood to all its citizens; equal pay for equal work for both men and women; distribution of wealth and thus establish India as a welfare state.
