Wheat is not a cash crop, but it is food crop. The crops that are grown to feed the human population are known as food crops. e.g. rice, wheat, millets, maize, pulses etc. On the other hand, a cash crop is the one that is cultivated to be sold in the market to each profits from the sale. e.g. coffee, tea, cotton, jute, sugarcane etc.
