Sandeep lost 20% by selling a bicycle for ₹1536. What per cent shall he gain or lose by selling it for ₹2000?

Solution:

100 – 20 = 80

When SP ₹80 then CP = ₹100
When SP ₹1536 then CP

=100/80×1536

=₹1920

Now, CP

=₹1920

=₹2000

Profit

=2000-1920

=₹80

Profit %

=\text "Profit"/\text "CP"×100

=80/1920×100

=25/6=4{1/6}%
