According to the question
$\frac{360}{\mathit{x}}-\frac{360}{\mathit{x}+4}$ = 3
$\frac{360\left(\mathit{x}+4-\mathit{x}\right)}{\mathit{x}\left(\mathit{x}+4\right)}$ = 3
⇒ 4 × 120 = ${\mathit{x}}^2$ + 4x
⇒ ${\mathit{x}}^2$ + 4x - 480 = 0
⇒ (x - 20) (x + 24) = 0
x = 20
or x = - 24
Hence, x = 20 days
