(C) Sampatiya Uikey won the by-election in 2017 for the one Rajya Sabha seat from Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh has 11 Rajya Sabha seats. The seat against which Sampatiya Uikey had been elected fell vacant after the death of Union Minister Anil Dave. She will serve the remainder of Dave’s term till June 2022.
