(C) Ajanta Hills are hills in the state of Maharashtra. It is located at an elevation of 694 metres above the sea level. Ajanta Hills are also known as Ajanta Hills and Ajanta Range. Famous rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments which date from the $2^{\mathit{n}\mathit{d}}$century BCE to about 480 CE in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra are situated in Ajanta Range.
