The mine has the distinction of having unique down-the-hill conveyor system passing through a tunnel to transport iron ore from crushing plant to processing plant. The Bailadila is famous for producing iron which is used for steel making. It is ahill range in Chhattisgarh which is famous for the very high-grade haematite.
